Testing of state-of-the-art biological technologies for tannery wastewater treatment with ultra-low sludge production.
In this project, we tested state-of-the-art biological technologies for the treatment of tannery wastewater, which is notoriously challenging due to its intense color and heavy metal content. The goal was to verify the effectiveness of the biological process on such complex matrices, ensuring a reusable treated effluent while keeping sludge production extremely low.
