The ageing of water and sewage works and treatment plants is a very topical issue also in the light of recent drought-related problems. In Italy, most wastewater treatment plants were built more than 40 years ago.
At this Study Day, an update on the results of the survey on the ageing of installations will be given initially. Afterwards, some operators who collaborated in the activities will present their experience. Opportunities for action planning in the light of the NRP will then be presented.
Finally, the round table will provide ample time for a discussion between managers and control and planning bodies.
